Vision and Mission

To promote, advocate and support everyone in the Simpson community, culturally and linguistically, by highlighting performing/fine arts, literature, cuisines, etc. of various cultures in a secular way.

 

We are very excited to WELCOME everyone in our school community.

-----> 101 teachers, administration/staff (approx.) 

-----> 21 spoken languages are represented including – Arabic, Bulgarian, Chinese, Creole, English, French, Gujarati, Hebrew, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Other - Asian, Other - Indian Sinhala, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbo-Croatian, Spanish, Ukrainian, Urdu. 

 

Fun Fact:11.6% of our students speak another language at home.

 

Student and family participation is essential to make this fun, engaging and educational. It is understandable the school year gets busy and is packed with many priorities; hence all activities are being designed with flexibility to fit schedules.

April – Cultural contributions in arts/literature
May - Asian Pacific-American and Jewish American Heritage month

Get involved in 2024-25

  • Bulletin Board: set up a monthly themed highlight ---> Sign up Genius link 
  • KSU Exhibits: coordinate set up of monthly panel style exhibits on loan from KSU Museum of History 
  • Newsletter: themed write-up for monthly PTSA newsletter
  • International Night: Chair or volunteer on the committee; several things need to be coordinated
  • Recipe Book: add recipes to prior book (collect via a Google form - there is one from previous years, advertise and send reminders via PTSA channels, compile using Canva or similar to create a book by year end and share electronically).
