Random Act of Kindness Week from Simpson MS PTSA
In honor of National Random Acts of Kindness Day on February 17th, let’s all be kind and do something for someone we may or may not know. Let’s show each other that we can be respectful and kind to everyone!
Here are some ideas:
*Hold the door for others
*See something drop? Pick it up!
*Sit with someone different at lunch. Break out of the clique and meet a new friend.
*Compliment someone. Find something nice to say about someone that you know or don’t.
*See something/Say Something. Don’t let people be mean to other people.
*Buy a chocolate, flower or friendship bracelet for someone that you don’t know, or a teacher, a friend …. Or even your parents!
Friendship Bracelets, Chocolates and Flowers will all be on sale 2/8 -2/13 before school and during lunch. Distribution will be 2/15 to the recipients in their HR class.

We LOVE our Volunteers! Please consider donating your time volunteering at Simpson. It is a great way to get to know your Middle School, other parents AND add to your student’s education. Plus, it’s fun!
“Ongoing research shows that family engagement in schools improves student achievement, reduces absenteeism, and restores parents’ confidence in their children’s education. Students with involved parents or other caregivers earn higher grades and test scores, have better social skills, and show improved behavior.”
National Education Association (Nov. 18, 2014)
WE NEED S’MORE VOLUNTEERS LIKE YOU!!!
We always need additional volunteers for any of our Committees. There is a Committee for every interest and time commitment. Even working parents can contribute! It’s a great way to be involved in your child’s education and meet new people as well.
Please contact Amber Bruder (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Rebecca Madayag (email@example.com) with any questions. Thanks!
